Trump calls E. Jean Carroll rape allegations ‘disgusting,’ mixes up her photo as ex-wife

A video deposition of former President Donald Trump shows him mixing up former wife Marla Maples with rape accuser E. Jean Carroll — clutching a photo of her and asserting “That’s my wife.”

The mistaken identity slip came during the 48-minute video made public Friday in Carroll’s ongoing civil rape trial and were made up of clips of the 45th president’s deposition testimony from Oct. 19, 2022, and shown to a Manhattan federal jury Wednesday and Thursday.

The clips show Trump, 76, being questioned by lawyers for Carroll — who claims he sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room around 1996.

“It’s the most ridiculous, disgusting story,” Trump said of Carroll’s allegations.

“It was just made up.”

A racy 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape of Trump speaking to co-anchor Billy Bush — unaware of a live mic recording their randy remarks — was also played for Trump before he was quizzed about it. In the recording, he says he would grab women “by the p–y” and they’d allow it because he’s a star.

“This is very old news,” Trump said of the recording.

“Fully litigated during debates, during everything else. Fully litigated.. And you know what I said then and I say it now?

“Locker room talk. That was locker room talk. That’s what goes on.”

Carroll’s lawyer questioned Trump about his statement on the recording that he can grab women “by the p—y,” because he’s a star and women let him.

“Historically that’s true with stars … if you look over the last million years, I guess that’s been largely true,” Trump responded.

“Not always but largely true. Unfortunately or fortunately.”

Carroll’s lawyer asked, “You consider yourself to be a star?”

“I think you can say that, yeah,” he responded.

During the questioning, Trump also mistook Carroll for his ex-wife Marla Maples when he was shown a photograph of himself, his then-wife Ivana along with Carroll and her then-husband John Johnson.

“That’s Marla, yeah,” Trump says while holding the photo.

“That’s my wife.”

Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba interjected, “No, that’s Carroll.”

“It’s very blurry,” Trump responds.

Carroll’s lawyers said during opening statements that Trump’s denials of Carroll’s claim — including that she wasn’t his “type” — were contradicted by Trump mixing Carroll up with his own ex-wife.

Carroll has used the photo of her and Trump, taken years earlier at a charity event, to rebuff his claims he never met her.

“I think that’s her big claim to fame, you know, that she shook my hand at some celebrity event,” Trump told Carroll’s lawyer during the grilling.

Throughout the questioning, Trump launched barbs at both Carroll and her lawyer Roberta Kaplan — calling Carroll a “whack-job” and a “nut job” and saying she was “mentally sick.”

Trump also doubled down on statements he made implying the attack couldn’t have happened because Carroll wasn’t physically his type.

“You’re a political operative also,” Trump told Kaplan.

“You’re a disgrace.

“But she is accusing me and so are you of rape, and it never took place.”

“And I will tell you I made that statement, I said while it’s politically incorrect, she’s not my type. And that’s 100 percent true. She’s not my type,” Trump continued.

Trump also referenced Carroll’s 2019 interview with Anderson Cooper, when she said people in society think rape is sexy.

“Did she say she loved being sexually assaulted by you?” Kaplan asked.

“Well she said something to that effect,” Trump said.

“I mean you’ll have to take a look at the interview yourself. I believe she said rape was sexy, to which Anderson Cooper is dying, he’s saying let’s get to a commercial break immediately.”

Kaplan questioned Trump about how he liberally uses the word hoax — prompting Trump to reel off a long list of some things he thinks are a hoax.

“I could get a whole list of them. And this is a hoax too,” Trump said.

“This ridiculous situation that we’re doing right now.”It’s a big, fat hoax.”

“She’s a liar and she’s a sick person in my opinion. Really sick. Something wrong with her,” he said of Carroll.

Carroll came forward with her claims in June 2019 in a book, with an excerpt published in New York Magazine.

She then filed suit in November 2022 for the alleged rape and for defamation, claiming Trump ruined her reputation as a journalist when he called her a liar, said he never met her and said she made up the story for money and to boost book sales.

A jury has been overseeing the case for seven days spread over two weeks.

They are set to begin deliberations Tuesday.

Trump hasn’t attended the trial and his lawyer says Trump won’t come at all.

Still, Trump made statements in Ireland that he might show up, prompting Judge Lewis Kaplan to give Trump until 5 p.m. Sunday to change his mind.
