King Charles’ coronation ‘lawn penis’ has ‘Bridgerton’ connection

The lawn where a jokester mowed a giant penis shape — one on the grounds of the famed Royal Crescent complex in Bath, England — has “Bridgerton” ties no one connected earlier.

Located on the same field where a significant coronation party is set to be thrown on Saturday, this also happens to be the location featured on the hit Netflix series throughout seasons 1 and 2.

“Bridgerton,” a show that reimagines Regency-era life and is also known as a bodice ripper, showed exterior shots of the elegant property to showcase the Featherington family residence during debutante season.

Set in 19th-century London, the Georgian-era street consists of 30 terrace houses along a 500-foot-wide crescent — and was built between 1767 and 1774.

Last year, a Grade I-listed apartment set within a townhouse on the Royal Crescent hit the market for around over $1 million. It later sold for $1.17 million.

Dubbed as one of the most iconic addresses to have by its Savills real estate representative, Alistair Heather, the rare listing was located on the first floor.

Known as No. 29 on the Royal Crescent, it was initially used a drawing room for entertaining guests when the townhouses were originally built in the 18th century.

Later it turned into a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment.

What you need to know about the coronation:

The unit features a 29-foot by 23-foot great room with three tall sash windows overlooking the Royal Crescent and Victoria Park where the cheeky lawn mowing took place.

Ornate cornice and ceiling roses that are still in the unit are believed to be original since its construction, the previous listing notes.

The bedroom is situated in the back of the unit overlooking the historic Marlborough Buildings.

Features of the bedroom includes high ceilings, and a mezzanine sleeping nook with a built-in wardrobe that is accessed by a curved staircase from the dressing area.

There is a separate kitchen with modern fixtures and fittings, and a bathroom adjacent to the bedroom.

“A wonderful piece of history at this prestigious address,” Heather previously said in a press release.

On Thursday morning, residents awoke to the pranksters who mowed a giant penis onto the famous grounds.

The building forms a crescent on this street, known worldwide for having a “perfect lawn.”

A Georgian-themed “grand coronation party” is scheduled for Saturday on the lawn in honor of King Charles III’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in London.

“Celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Georgian era,” a flyer for the Royal Crescent event reads.

”Decorate your own regal crown, watch demonstrations on royal fashion and visit the Georgian Cook cooking up delicious recipes in the kitchen.”
