Kardashian-Jenner family arrives at Met Gala 2023 showing lots of skin — of course

The played their Kards right.

The Kardashians made a grand appearance at the Met Gala this year following allegations they wouldn’t step foot on the red carpet.

Kim wore a skimpy, formfitting gown “dripping in pearls,” an ode to the iconic Chanel looks fashioned by Karl Lagerfeld, the evening’s honoree.

“I just wanted to feel glamorous,” she said on the carpet, admitting she just “wanted to have a good time.”

“I took a shot before I came with my sisters,” said the first sister in the Kardashian-Jenner family to make a gala appearance tonight.

Her champagne-colored number by Schiaparelli featured numerous beads of pearls draped around her neck and cascading down the front of the frock. So as not to take away from the pearlescent glam, she paired the silk dress with a pair of white heels and a white shawl.

The SKIMS mogul stepped out at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel with her eldest daughter North West – whom she was pregnant with at her first-ever Met Gala attendance – as she made her way to the benefit.

While kids and teens under the age of 18 are notoriously barred from attending the event, Kim revealed that North, 9, was watching from the car window.

Kendall Jenner — wearing a Marc Jacobs blinged bodysuit with billowing sleeves paired with matching platform boots of gargantuan proportions — recalled how Lagerfeld boosted her career as a young model.

“I owe a lot to him and what he did for me,” she shared on the carpet, as Kim agreed that the connection made it “super emotional.”

As for Kylie Jenner, who appeared wearing a cherry red gown with pumps to match, she’s just “here for a good time.”

“I’m looking forward to making more memories with my sisters and seeing all the fashion,” said Kylie, who was spotted leaving her hotel with daughter Stormi Webster, 5.

Reality TV’s most famous family was rumored to be skipping out on this year’s most fashionable event — but not of their own accord.

Inside sources butted heads on allegations: One previously said the Kardashians would be barred from this year’s ensemble extraordinaire after Anna Wintour, Condé Nast’s global chief content officer and Vogue’s global editorial director, supposedly laid out a strict guest list.

But suspicions over invites mostly circulated around Kim, arguably the most famous member of the family.

She officially confirmed her attendance in an April Instagram post — which featured snaps of her with Karl Lagerfeld’s beloved cat, Choupette — writing that she was at the late designer’s Paris office to gather “inspiration” for the gala.

At the Met, she admitted meeting the famed feline was “a little scary.”

“It takes a little while to warm up to to her,” Kim joked on the carpet.

Someone close to the family also denied the hot goss in April, telling Page Six that the pop culture royal would be the belle of the ball.

The swirling rumor mill follows the Kardashians’ first-ever Met Gala as a family last year with the newest attendees, Kourtney and Khloe, in tow — although Kim has been in attendance since 2013 when she went as a plus-one with now-ex-husband Kanye West.

Of course, their presence was not without Kontroversy as Kim, 42, sported Marilyn Monroe’s legendary “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress last year. Not only was she slammed for her extreme weight loss to slip into the snug-fitting, glittering gown, but she was accused of damaging the treasured artifact.

The mom-of-four is known for her daring couture at past Met Galas since securing her first invite while pregnant with her first child, North. Most notably, she donned an all-black Balenciaga get-up in 2021, complete with a billowing cape and mask — only allowing her staple, sleek ponytail to show.

But before the last decade, the Met Gala was Kardashian-Jenner-free because Wintour supposedly found the family tacky.

“Anna hates Kim,” an inside source previously dished to Radar Online in 2012. “Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn’t fit that bill at all.”
